I haven't fallen off the planet and I haven't gone all in with Fuji. Nope. Actually been busy and traveling quite a bit. Photography has been on the back burner a bit. However, in my travels I have become even more fond of the OMD EM1 (and m4/3 in general). So small and so capable. Here is probably my favorite shot from my family spring break trip where we passed through Chicago. I made a super fast switch to double exposure mode, converted in camera RAW to jpeg monochrome with added contrast. Transferred to iPad and here it is. Gosh darn it that is convenient.
I also finally got a chance to shoot the Panasonic GM1. I pretty much kept the Panasonic 14mm f2.5 on it and kept it in my pocket. A lovely small camera for sure but it has a few quirks and a few disappointments for me. Sometime this week, I'll get around to processing images and thoughts.
Until then, I can say that the OMD EM1 is the best travel camera I have ever used. Fast. Small. Powerful. I carried a total of 3 lenses; Panasonic 20mm f1.7, the Oly 12-40 pro and the 75mm f1.8 One of those was always on the camera making my kit nice and small. It is perfect.
